Your cruise is designed for you to relax and take in the sights of this beautiful World Heritage Site Old San Juan and its protected Bay. Of course, if you want to take the helm and feel like a Captain for a day, we welcome it, but it is not required!

We will take off on this "dreamed journey", from the San Antonio Canal.  This perfect tour starts with a visual introduction and historical and cultural review of the San Juan Bay Area and the stories of magical Old San Juan.  We will share while getting ready on a comfortable seat, with the drink of your choices in hand. 

Many believe the best way to check out Old San Juan is from the water and there isn't a better time to enjoy it than during the daytime. From a local Fishing Village, passing by the Cruise Ship Piers Waterfront, the Historical Capitol Building, La Fortaleza Castle, Bacardi's Rum Distillery, to El Morro Fortress, you will be able to soak in the beauty of life, along the charming feeling of Puerto Rico and its people.

What's Included?

Our Dreamed Daytime Sailing Tour inludes all the following: Motorsailing Excursion with the Jib Sail up, as weather and commercial traffic on the Bay allows, personalized services of a licensed USCG Master Captain who will comment historical and natural interesting facts of the areas we will sail through. If there are more than 4 people on board, we also inlcude the services of a First Mate.

You can sit comfortably on our cushioned areas, or you may use our Comfortable Reclining Deck Seats if you want to sit on the foredeck. We create with you a personalized selection of Music (we use Pandora), or if you want to use yours, you may use the auxiliary cable.

Your tour includes also Two Glasses of: Red, White, or Sparkling Wine, or Local Rum and Mixers, or Local Medalla Light Beers, or Local Premium Lager Magna Beers, or Piña Colada. We also include an assorted variety of non-alcoholic beverages and Fresh Strawberries. There are some additional Add Ons, you may want to include at the moment of booking.

What's The Price & Departure Times?

The Dreamed Daytime Sailing Tour basic price is $109 per person. Minimum guests are two and the maximum six.  If you want this tour to be a Private one, with no other guests on board, after you include the amount of people coming, you may add the Private Tour option for $249 extra, under the additional services you may want to add.

This tour lasts two hours in the water and is available seven days a week. You should arrive at least at half an hour before the departure time. Departure Times for this tour are: From 9:00 am to 11:00 am., from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Our Dreamed Daytime Sailing Tour is available All Year Round.  However, please note that as we love to share with our Family and Friends, our Black Out Dates are: New Year's Day (January 1st), Three Saint Kings (January 6th), Holly Friday (April 18th), Mother's Day (May 11th), Father's Day (June 15th), Thanksgiving Day (November 27th) and Christmas Day (December 25th).

Does Nature Ever Surprises Us?

Nature is a Blessing in our Tours! We are constanly enjoying some wildlife through the different areas we sail through the Harbor. It doesn't matter if it is Daytime, or Nighttime, chances are good to enjoy some of these species. Don't be surprise if we spot:

Dolphins: The is a community of Bottlenose dolphins playing throughout the southern and mid section of the Bay, close to el Morro Fort and the Coast Guard headquarters. We have seen up to ten at once!

Sea Turtles: The most common specie to enjoy is the Hawksbill Sea Turtle. We see young ones once in a while, swimming close to the San Juan Gate and La Fortaleza Castle, usually in the morning time.

Manatees: Our big marine mammals can be found either close to our Marina, or close to the Coast Guard headquarters. We usually see them during the daytime, but also at nighttime.

Sting Rays: If you see or hear a sudden big splash of water, for sure it was an Atlantic Stingray. Only if stepped on, the Atlantic stingray can inflict a painful, though rarely life-threatening wound. Otherwise you don't have to worry about their presence around!

Sea Birds: There are Seagulls (like our favorite dreamer Jonathan Livingston Seagull), male and female Brown Boobies resting on the buoys, Brown Pelicans and Frigate Birds in their traditional acrobatic rituals, always diving for fresh and delicious food!

What Are The Guidelines & Restrictions?

Our tours are not difficult, but totally relaxing. Anybody with moving capacities can enjoy. Please note that no shoes are accepted on board. Everyone must be happily barefoot! We ask all our guests to leave the shoes in our office, while signing a Liability Waiver. Tour requires a minimum of 2 guests to operate.  Guests must be a minimum of 5 years old to participate and Children under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

For comfort, maximum weight per guest is 275 pounds. If you are a pregnant women less than sixth months along in your pregnancy term you can still join us. Although we are always a welcoming company, our tours are not suitable for people with recent surgeries, or with health conditions that are out of control.

Our boat is not wheelchair accesible, but if you are on a folding one, you are welcome to come. However your own personal help will be needed in order to move you on board. The wheelchair must be left in our office.

If you are a serious racing competitive sailor looking for adrenaline, we do not recommend you to join us, as we sail in protected waters for just the pleasure of happy cruise motor sailing.

Pleople ask about SEASICKNESS: None of our clients had ever got sea sickness. We sail in protected waters. However if you have a serious condition, maybe you should consider getting a motion sickness preventative medicine ahead.

Sailing Dreams is conveniently located on Slip 64 San Juan Bay Marina. 482 Fernandez Juncos Avenue, San Juan, Puerto Rico 00901-3223 (right next to the Sizzler's Restaurant).

It is an easy taxi ride from most Hotels and Cruise Ship Piers.  We belong to ZONE 5 (between Miramar and the Puerto Rico Convention District).

We are located Five minutes away from the Cruise Ship Piers, Old San Juan and El Condado area, Ten minutes away from Isla Verde, Fifty minutes away from Rio Grande, One Hour from Fajardo, as well as Fifty minutes away from the Dorado hotels.

What Kind of Boat is Poema?

Our main sailboat is Poema de Amor Libertad (A Poem of Love and Freedom...) Poema is a beautifully decorated, USCG Inspected, 2006 refurbished, French 38.2' Sloop Jeanneau Sunshine Sailboat.

Poema is a comfortable, roomy sailboat, with a Cockpit Cushioned Area, that has an ample Bimini Top to stay dry when it rains, or to hide away from the hot rays of the tropical sun. For those of you that may want to sit in the Front Deck Area, we have available Reclining Deck Seats, to protect your backs and necks.

We have AP System, with Speakers all over the boat. There is a Head, a Galley and a beautiful Saloon with Comfortable Seats, where you can rest part of the tour, in case it starts heavy raining while we are sailing out there.

If your tour includes swimming, we have available different Floating Devices as well. And we love tropical flowers, that's why it is so common to enjoy a natural "Birds of Paradise", right next to the Captain's Helm. ;).
